February 2, 2005 - Wednesday

Snowy and cold again.

Today was okay. We still have tons of snow, and a bit more fell, especially when I walked to work, but it wasn't too terrible. More of the walks had been cleared today so I could walk much easier.

Oh, last night after I posted, I discovered that there had been a train derailment near the place I used to live in Canada. Between Leaman and Mackay on Highway 16, a truck tried to beat the passenger train and didn't make it. What an idiot. 8 cars of the train were derailed. I can't remember, but I don't think anyone was killed, but a few people were hurt.

What else happened today? Not much. Fumihiko and I went to Gusto for dinner and picked up a couple of free bowls afterwards. I'm a bit embarrassed to say this, but I feel like my entire kitchen set has been furnished by Gusto. It's kind of true. I want to get a nice set of china, but Japanese people don't really use them. They make so many kinds of dishes that they use a million different plates just to serve one meal. I hate doing dishes here!

Oh, we got my nice heater back. It's working and what a difference. The room is already warm, even by my computer. With Fumihiko's little heater parts of the room get warm, but usually not where I am.

And, that was my day. Not much happened. I wasn't busy at work, but today was song day in the kids class and they enjoyed it. It was Looby Loo, which was a lot like the Hokey Pokey if you ask me. We did the song twice and the kids were exhausted afterward. I was so impressed that I wasn't!

Have a good night!
