Cloudy, with a bit of rain.
I had a good day today. I got up around 10, which considering the night I had, wasn't bad. Hubby and I had a bit of a fight last night, and when I finally came to bed, he got up and cooked ramen before coming to bed and waking me up again. This morning I think he overslept a bit, but hopefully made it to work on time.
I showered early and checked email and stuff. I got dressed up and went off to meet my friend at the Daiichi Hotel. On the way there I dropped off a disk to have photos made for Fumihiko's International Drivers License. When I got to the mall, I was a bit early, so I checked out the cd store and then went to the restaurant. My friend was already there, with someone else! She'd invited another one of my ex-students to come too. It was a great surprise. I haven't seen the other person for over a year. She was in Canada studying at a college and I hadn't seen her since she got back. We had a great lunch together. It was a lot of fun.
After lunch I came home, via the photography store to pick up the photos. At home I just played around on my computer for a while. Around 5 I started to get ready to leave. On the way to the school I picked up a couple of bottles of diet coke. I know I shouldn't drink it, but I do. Sigh.
My class went well tonight, and afterwards I said goodbye to my student, changed and sent a text message to my hubby. Then, I got on my bike and headed for Gusto. I went a way with lots of obstacles and no lights so it was a bit scary. In fact, I almost hit something on the way, but stopped just in time.
I had quite a nice meal at the restaurant. I had spinach with an egg in it and a hamburger. Of course I had drink bar too.
I came home via the grocery store where I picked up a few things for my soup making. I got cabbage and a half head of cauliflower.
I started making soup almost as soon as I came home, plus I watched the British show Hustle. It was good. I noticed that Fumihiko had phoned me back, so I tried calling him, but the line was bad so I had a bit of trouble getting through. Finally we connected though. He's going to sleep in a car tonight. He thinks it would be better than a tent. I hope so, for his sake.
And that's pretty much it so far. I've got my crockpot full of soup veggies steaming away, and a pot of stock-making veggie scraps on the stove to add to it later. I'm hoping this will be awesome soup! I haven't added the chicken yet. I think I'll do that tomorrow. I'd like to saute the chicken a bit first.
I'm drinking some peppermint tea that I made for myself, and I'll probably watch Alias again when I'm finished. I'm enjoying my evening of singlehood!
Today was a good day and I really enjoyed it. I like going out for lunch with people so much!
