Cold and snowy. Miserable day with a capital M.

What a day! I woke up this morning late as I went to bed very late. I got up, made the bed eventually, and then Fumihiko went back to it. He slept for hours. He didn't feel well. He was alternatively hot or cold. When I say he was hot he was burning up. He radiated heat better than our heater. Scary.

Around 5 he got up and declared himself feeling better. Right. But actually he did look much better. He wanted to go out and get dinner and buy himself some new "unmentionables". We went out to the car but couldn't go anywhere! The car was stuck. Fumihiko did a bit of digging out and some neighbours came and helped us push, and we finally got the car out. Hurray.

First we went to the new drugstore that opened a few weeks ago. Wow. It was huge. They have a large food section with a really good frozen food area. I got a lot of frozen veggies and some sausages too. Fumihiko found his unmentionables too!

After the drugstore we went for dinner. It was only Cocos. It wasn't great, but it was okay. I had a bit too much from the drink bar. Too much coffee. Sigh.

We came home and watched a dvd. Tonight we decided to watch In America. Neither of us had seen it before. It was great. A really different, but wonderful film. I thought it was brilliant. It's about an Irish family who moves to New York to live after one of their children dies. Their surviving daughters adapt to life in the USA.

When the movie finished, Fumihiko realized that we needed to buy kerosene tickets today, so we headed out again. We went to the grocery store, bought a few supplies and then came back home. We had a late take out dinner and watched Garfield. It was silly, but a hoot nonetheless! Bill Murray was really good as the voice of the fat cat.

Fumihiko's off in bed now. I'll probably join him soon. I'm a bit tired and he wants to go to city hall early tomorrow. I'm hoping he'll help me get some of my passport stuff done too. I have to get photographs taken. Yay.

Well, that was my day. Again, we have had so much snow today that it's hardly believable. How much longer will this go on for? Don't answer that!

Night.
