My Collection Of Hasbro and Mattel Edition Dolls

Growing up in the 80's with the Coleco dolls, I was very devoted to ONLY making Coleco made Cabbage Patch Kids part of my collection. The operative word being was . I didn't like the Hasbro or Mattel issues that were made in the 90's and saw them as "not even real Cabbage Patch dolls". That is, until I met the Kids below. In addition to the Hasbro Sippin Babies, I also found that some of the *gasp* MATTEL 'Kids were kinda cute! So I ended up making a home for the later (1990 and on) Editions of Cabbage Patch Kids.

Arielle Kitty Arielle is from the My Own Baby line by Hasbro and she has short red curls and blue eyes. She has a special pacifier and she'll cry if it's removed. I LOVE her outfit, with the kitty cat theme! She's named after a cousin's daughter. Fallon Marybeth Fallon is a 1992 Hasbro Edition 'Kid. This is when the 'Kids really started to deviate from their original Cabbage Patch look, but I could resist Fallon because she's still so cute and has such a happy face.
Shannon Marie 1995 Mattel Edition. Shannon arrvied to me in a lot. It is her #17 headmold that really got me attached to her. Her platnium blonde cornsilk style hair is also pretty complementing her big green eyes. So I got an original Mattel outfit to put on her and here she is: cheaper, trendier, somewhat Barbie-like, but a cute CPK 'Kid none-the-less! Iva Junie Here's Iva, a 1995 Mattel 'Kid that I found at a thrift shop. She has that irresistable #18 style headmold and her original clothes. My dad says she's ugly, but I like her hair too and her neat lil outfit.

Zelda Gem and Sharlotta Rose While every collector would LOVE to own one or more Tsukuda Kid from the 1980's, not everyone can afford them! So my next alternative was to adopt the Mattel Tsukudas, made in the late 1990's. Here are my girls, they are both from Japan and just as sweet as pie. They've never been out of their boxes and when I got them I was surprised to see how large they are!
