My Toddlers and Babies!

Well, I just happen to have a story about how I fell in love with the Toddlers and Babies too.
(You're not surprised now, are you? LOL!)
A few years ago when I was first collecting online, I bought what I *thought* was a regular full-size Coleco Kid for my mom for mother's day. (Don't I always seem to get Mom things that I would buy for myself... funny that... LOL!) Anyway, when Anita Georgette arrived in the mail she was mint, but I was surprised and dissapointed to see that she was smaller than a regular Cabbage Patch Kid. She was even made by Hasbro. Not what I had in mind at all. Mom said she still thought she was cute, so we kept her. I just figured that Hasbro was making the Kids smaller after Coleco stopped making them. I shrugged and continued to adopt more regular Kids. Anita Georgette went into hiding.
Then, a couple of years later, I was looking for Kids online when I saw an auction for both a full sized kid and a kid who was the same smaller size as Anita. This girl was also a red head but had a pacifier. A different, softer pacifier. She was SO cute, I decided to get her. That was my little Savannah Kendall! After her I realized what Toddlers were: smaller Kids that were made by Coleco, then shortly after, by Hasbro. They were known as "The Kid in the Middle!" or, more appropriately, "My Newest Obsession!" LOL!
Of course, being a person who tends to repeat the same pattern, the same exact thing happened with the Babies. I was at a Thrift store when I found what I thought was a Preemie, with a body that had beans in it. My first thought was "Eww, how freaky!" I figured (because I like to figure things) that this was Hasbro's answer to the Preemies. I even ordered a knit outfit online, thinking it was for a regular Preemie and when it came it was too small! I then began hearing about Babies. Oh, I said. That's what those bean-filled ones are. Well, not too impressed at first, I ignored them. That is, until I saw my Bobby Wanya. He was sitting up wearing his train sleeper and looked like he needed a pacifier AND a home. After him, I wanted more Babies. So I adopted Amanda Jade, Patience Comfort and Richard Brent. Quite by accident I fell in love with my Hasbro-made Sammie Jo. I am looking for an aqua-green knit dress outfit for Amanda. I am just obsessed with getting the outfits I want for them. Obsession is a bad thing, folks. But BOY is it fun!

My Toddlers!
  • Tabitha Rae Toddler girl, butterscotch baby pony, green eyes, #4 hm. I was in love with Tabitha's picture, so I just had to have her! She was sort of a Christmas gift to myself, lol.
  • Rebecca Amber Toddler girl, tan ponies, brown eyes, #9 hm. When I got Rebecca I was so excited, I knew I'd be hooked on toddlers from then on! She is so cute in her little dinosaur romper and she's mint!
  • Sabrina Katy Toddler girl, brown pigtails and bangs, violet eyes, #1 hm. Things kept getting better with the toddlers when I got Sabrina! She is mint and wears the cutest soft toddler romper.
  • Anita Georgette Toddler girl (Hasbro), red pigtails, green eyes, #3 hm. When I first saw Anita I didn't know what to make of her! Mom was still happy with her though. Now that I know what a Toddler is, she can join the rest of the group!
  • Savannah Kendall Toddler girl, red ponies, green eyes, #4 hm. Savannah was MY first toddler and she is manufatured by Coleco. She loves her pacifier and little pink socks. She is so cute and small!
  • Samantha Ann Toddler girl, brown short ponies, brown eyes, #20 hm. I named this adorable girl after my cousin's daughter who, appropriately enough, has a little sister named Sabrina!
  • Caitlin Paige Toddler girl, tan ponies, green eyes, #3 hm. Caitlin is also made by Coleco and she's got little aqua shoes to match her romper!
  • Katinka Millicent Toddler girl, chocolate brown pigtails, green eyes, #4 hm. Katie, as I call her, is the brown haired, green eyes toddler I'd been waiting for! I like her light brown chocolate colored hair and bangs too.

    My Babies!
  • Randy Tyler Randy has the cutest little rust colored tuft of hair on his head. He wears the blue and yellow striped knit outfit and has a hat, but he usually leaves it down to show off his tuft.
  • Patience Comfort Girl, bald, brown eyes, #4 hm, pink knit sleeper and bonnet. She came mint with her papers and paci.
  • Richard Brent Boy, bald, brown eyes, #1 hm, blue and white snow outfit. Richard came with Patience, also with mint with papers!
  • Robin Danielle Girl, sandy blonde tuft, green eyes, #1 hm. Robin was the last to join our family and she has the best complexion with really rosey cheeks. Her outfit is pink, purple and blue striped.
  • Barrie Marie Girl, tan tuft, brown eyes, #4 hm. Barrie came in a little non-CPK dress with a blue/green replacement paci. She's the first tufted #4 Baby I've seen up close and I just love her!
  • Emily Iris Girl, bald, African American, #4 hm, violet outfit with bonnet and booties. She belongs to my mom's collection.
  • Sammie Jo Margaret Girl, red tuft, blue eyes, #18 hm. Sammie Jo is actually made by Hasbro. She is wearing a HTF kitty sleeper made for a full sized kid, but it is so cute and baggy on her.
  • Bobby Wanya Boy, bald, African American, #4 hm, blue sleeper with train on it. Bobby was my very first Baby! I fell in love with him and had to bring him home.
  • Shelby Lynn Girl, bald, blue eyes, #4 hm. Shelby came to me in a white eyelet bunting, making her look so feminie. She has a few light pox, but this doesn't make her any less beautiful.
  • Amanda Jade Girl, bald, green eyes, #1 hm, mint green snow outfit. Amanda was my first girl bean bum baby! Her middle name is Jade because of her green eyes!
