It is about time David Cassidy got the recognition he deserves, how many stars have survived three decades having hit records in everyone, not to mention sellout concerts and musicals internationally. Elaine Kettlewell

David has transcended his teen idol days, forming a successful adult career, a hard task for any performer. He's enjoyed successful runs in Broadway and Las Vegas, along with his writing and producing credits. Through it all, he's maintained a strong fan base -- and attracted new fans along the way! He is a worthy candidate for the Hall of Fame. Jerilynn Watlington

I can't believe that David Cassidy isn't already in the Hall of Fame particularly with a fanbase that was larger than the Beatles and Elvis and with such a capability to have success again and again and sell out last year's UK tour after an absence of 15 years. Who else could do that? Kindest regards.

WHY I THINK DAVID CASSIDY BELONGS IN THE ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME: David Cassidy has dedicated his life to entertaining people of all ages... his young years saw his father (The late, great Jack Cassidy) performing, it was natural that David would follow in his famous father's footsteps. David excelled in everything he did, his professional attitude kept him grounded. When The Partridge Family fame left him exhausted, he took a much needed break and then dived right back in. He conquered everything- WHY... it's the MUSIC. He produced & wrote songs for himself and other groups, ROCK & ROLL MUSIC was always his love. He played guitar, drums, piano, his voice is as strong and vital as ever. HIS LIFE IS THE MUSIC & ENTERTAINING.. Why hasn't someone inducted him into the HALL OF FAME YET? He outsold the Beatles, He outsold Elvis! He filled all the concert halls.... He has won the ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR IN LAS VEGAS 2 years in a row, Now he is out touring. WHAT MORE DOES A PERFORMER NEED TO DO TO BE INDUCTED? He has the talent, the voice, if his fans were allowed, he would have been inducted long ago. DAVID CASSIDY BELONGS IN THE HALL OF FAME. Karen D Scott

I have been a fan of "David" since I was seven years old,(always watching the Partridge Family episodes every morning). And now that I will be 36 years old April 27th ,i still watch the "Partridge family show on television. My first collection I bought was David's book called "C'mon get happy--fear and loathing of the Partridge family bus". I also have cut out photo's of "David & his brother Shawn" and had the pix pasted in my book,(front and back).. I also have the "Partridge Family greatest hits CD",& three VHS video's of the "Partridge family" episodes.. But being I am from Vermont & have never seen David live in concert,i am a devoted fan & still buy his stuff, (from his offical website and stores in my local area). Just last month, i received my "David Cassidy coffee cup with his recent photo of him on one side of the coffee cup & a picture of him on the other side, & his offical website addy at the bottom of the cup. I even have a recorded VHS tape of David being on MTV with Martha Stewart,(a talk show)..One thing i did have when I was a little girl,(and i am still upset to this day), was a "Partridge Family lunch box" but my lunch box was stolen from me, when I was outside on recess. I never found my lunch box when i had it on the sidewalk with other Elmentary children, but i am led to believe a older stuent in the higher grade has stolen my "Partridge family lunch box"..This petition is what I said to David when i emailed him personally. Devoted fans can email him by visisting his fabulous offical website.. David deserves to be inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame & I will pray everyday that David gets into the rock'n roll hall of fame!.. Mary L. Roucoulet

I think David deserves to be inducted! He has worked hard to get where he is today. He not only had the largest fan club back them but when David left and came back, his fans were still here for him along with new fans! I think that is great how he is picking up fans in a whole new generation as well as keeping the older fans! David is the greatest! Debbie DePasquale

I would like to add my name and support to David Cassidy being considered for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. David has had a lasting and enduring impact on the direction of music and continues to record and perform 30 years + from his introduction to his audience. Very few artists can claim such an impact. He is a fine performer who continues to have a loyal following in the music field around the world. Please consider him for this honor. Carol Day

I feel David Cassidy deserves to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In the 1970's he was a singer and actor with the largest fan club, supassing the Beatles. Over the years he has sung and acted in productions of Joseph and the Amazing Dream Coat, Blood Brothers and Time - just to name a few musicals. He also performed in FX in Las Vegas for two years before producing and performing in "At the Copa" and producing the "The Rat Pack is Back". During this time, David continued to record and sell albums/CD's and is currently in the second year of touring the world to sold out crowds. His endurance in the business alone makes him a much deserved inductee. Michelle White

David belongs in this prestigious hall as I feel it is about time he got more than just recognition from his fans for his amazing talent and not only the talent but the ability to make millions of 40 something women all over the world feel like teenagers again. He makes us feel happy, I myself am only 22 but obviously can appreciate David's music. Most people have to wait until they are dead to be given such an honour, which is a terrible shame, John Lennon was inducted after his death and Linda McCartney fought hard all her late life for her husband Paul to be inducted he finally was after HER death! Put David where he belongs we beg of you! Thank you,
