He is a great showman and he has touched the lives of millions of people around the world. David has a huge fan base and after thirty years there aren't many people in the music business who can not only retain the fans from the beginning of their careers but still attract new younger fans. I remember every week my parents buying the TV Guide and the first thing I would do was to turn to Friday 8:30 p.m. to see what was going to happen this week on "The Partridge Family". David Cassidy deserves to be inducted to the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. He has certainly proved himself over and over to his fans. His hard work and dedication to his craft shows. He is "THE ENTERTAINER OF THE CENTURY" If you were to look at all he has achieved. David Cassidy has been involved with several charities, including March of Dimes, Special Olympics, Keep Britain Tidy, EAT'M (Emerging Artists & Technology in Music) and Kidscharities. He wrote "Stand and Be Proud" after the Los Angeles riots, that was recorded by very many multicultural choral groups, and was used as the theme to try and bring the various communities in Los Angeles back together again. He also participated in Voices That Care, for the Persian Gulf war relief fund. He and his wife, Sue Shifrin-Cassidy, also donated "Message to the World" for Kidscharities.org to raise funds for the Kids in Kosovo. Cassidy's genuinely warm and friendly attitude towards his fans - along with his willingness to serenade his audiences with all-time favorites like "Cherish," "I Woke Up In Love This Morning," "I Think I Love You," "Rock Me Baby" and "Lying To Myself" - keep him on top and in demand. His profile on VH-1's Behind the Music received the highest ratings ever on the network. David Cassidy is as hot as ever. Participation as spokesman for most of VH1's "8-Track Flashback" programs proves that he is interested in supporting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and its other inductees. I have loved David Cassidy since I was 15yrs old. Still had a body and looked good! Never the less , he has been a enormous enfluence on me and millions of other women in his career. And i still listen and own all of his music. To not induct Mr. Cassidy into the hall of rock-n-roll would in deed be a crime against american culture. For many including ,myself , he was a culture. a way of loving and singing and growing up. i was nearly 20 before i realized i was not going to find my David Cassidy. But now a new generation is comming into the David Cassidy era with re-runs. My niece is head over heels in love with him, I know how she feels !! I've been a major fan of David Cassidy's since he started his career in the Partridge Family and I always wanted to meet him, but never did. He's been through many rough times as his book describes, but he has pulled through. I enjoy his music and still would be honored to meet him, his wife and son. I'd love to see David Cassidy inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I've now been a fan for over 30 years so I can honestly say that I've grown up with David's music. I got my first Partridge Family album when I was 7years old and recently added David's latest CD to my collection. I still listen to all the old albums! They bring back great memories of yesterday. I finally (after all these years) got to see David perform live for the first time 2 years ago in Las Vegas in his show at the Rio. He was awesome!!! I can only imagine what a concert in the 70's must have been like. Not too many people can still perform to sellout crowds after 30 plus years so I think David more than deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. I think he's overdue to be there. I think David truly deserves to be inducted into the hall of fame. His music really tugs at the old heart strings and holds onto them long after the songs have ended. His acting career has also surpassed many failed attempts by Elvis and he is has maintained his wonderful looks - he is still as gorgeous as ever. Regards Sue xx
