| Goku is the hero of the Dragonball series. He is a Saiyan by birth, meaning he is an alien, having been born on the Saiyan planet of Vegeta.It seems that the Saiyans were space pirates/warriors, battling first to win their own planet, then fighting for control of other planets, subsequently selling them to the highest bidder. They were an evil race whose only desire is to thrive for blood, death and the destrucion of other worlds. The Saiyans were so strong they even went as far as sending babies in space-pods to underdeveloped worlds, realizing that they would be unstoppable when the babies saw the full moon, turning them into large, fierce, gorilla-type creatures. It was as one of these interplanetary-babies that Goku arrived on earth, and was found by an old man, Gohan, who raised Goku as his Grandson. Goku's real name is Kakkarot and thats what Vegita always calls him. Like all Saiyans, Goku was wild and unmanageable, until one day he fell into a crevasse and knocked his head really hard, causing him to forget the instructions to kill all life on the earth. Goku was raised as if he'd been born on earth, and was a normal, happy child, but for the fact that he was uncommonly strong and had the Saiyan tail, which was responsible for his Gorilla transformations. Goku had his tail permanently removed as a child, and as he grew he was trained by Master Roshi, a martial arts expert. He was even trained by Kame, guardian of the earth. He started getting stronger and stronger. Ironically, instead of destroying Earth, he became its protector, defeating the evil Piccollo, and then later fighting its child, also named Piccolo. Goku married Chichi, a girl he had known from childhood, and with her had Gohan and later Goten. Life was going well for Gokou, even considering the battles with Piccolo, until his brother Radditz came to Earth and stole Gohan. He was able to destroy Radditz by holding him while Piccallo shot him with a specail beam cannon. Then he had died and went to the other world. Goku went on Snake way for 3 years and finally arived at King Kai's planet. There he tranined and learned how to do the Spirit Bomb and Kio Ken. He became much stronger. Goku's strength lies in his passion to fight and to be the best fighter. He strives on fighting strong opponents. When it seems that Goku is beat he always comes up with something to fend off defeat. Then during the fight with Frieza in Namek, he turns into a Super Saiyan when Frieza killed Krillin. Then, he was able to defeat Frieza. Then when Namek was about to explode, he climbed into a pod and went to a planet where they taught him Instant Transmition. When he got home, he found Trunks there and he told him 2 androids will come and destroy the world. When they were fighting 3 years later, he got a heart diesease and couldn't fight but then Future Trunks came back and gave him a cure. Then he fought Cell. He only did that so Gohan can learn his moves. Then he gave up so Gohan could fight. Then when Cell was going to explode, he teleported himself and Cell to King Kai's planet where he died again. Then in the Majin Saga when SS2 Majin Vegita had him cornered against a rock, he got so angry and powered up to SS2. Then, when Buu gets him really mad because he can't beat buu even in his SS2 form, he turns SS3. In DBGT, Pilof wishes goku to be a child and so Goku turned into a kid. He is still able to turn SS. Then in planet plant when Goku was beaten by Vegita Bebi, he stared up at the earth and turned into a golen oozaru. Then he got control and went to Super 4. Then at the end, he wished all the people killed would be reborn. Then Shen Long told Goku to get on his back. Then the dragonballs were absorbed into Goku and he disapeared with only his cloths remaing. Goku must have been the most powerfull being alive to be able to absorb the dragonballs. Later, when Goku Jr.(A desendent of Goku) and Vegita Jr.( A descendent of Vegita) was fighting in a tournament, Pan saw Goku in the stands and rushed to see him but Goku had dissapeared. Not only is he a great warrior, but also a spectacular leader. Throughout the entire series, he had inspired many, including both of his sons. He runs up to many battels in his life. After every batlle that he gets beat up he gets stronger and stronger (as this is for all saiyans). He is a very kindrid spirit and tries to be friends instead of enimies. Goku is a true warrior he cares about other people, and has a lota mercy. He likes the challenge of fighting stronger opponents, it was typical of Goku to stay ahead of everyone. What is strange about Goku is his ability to outwit and befriend his enemy. Some of his past enemies later become his ally. He does not bother nor care about leaders of Earth, politics, and power. His only concern is the righteousness of humanity (and all other races for that matter) and fighting strong opponents.
