Competition began at 09:00 with the last event at 18:25. Feature events included Day 1 of the Decathlon and Finals of the Women's Pole Vault, Javelin and 100m; the Finals of the Men's Triple Jump and 400m.
Decathlon Day 1 events are: 100m, Long Jump, Shot Put, High Jump, 400m. Decathlon Day 2 events are: 110m Hurdles, Discus, Pole Vault, Javelin, 1500m.
