KOBUDO(古武道, old Budo) is the starting point of the Gendai-Budo(Japanese Modern Martial Arts), such as judo, kendo, iaido and aikido. Gendai-Budo is valued either as sports or arts for self-improvement. KOBUDO is the way of feudal military self-defense which the samurai tried to master. KOBUDO inherited the soul of Ryuuha's founder(each Budo styles founder)and it has transmitted the blood of his, respecting tradition. Pioneers have performed all ideas and techniques by risking one's life in long history and those were handed down to each school as a different formation. KOBUDO often contain both armed fighting with several different weapons, as well as unarmed techniques. |
