Final year celebrates its final Anniversary

Season of Anniversaries continues as New final year celebrated their anniversary arranged on January 7th 2003 which turned out to be a real successful event. Proposed colour by the girl students was Orange. Class participation was very good adding to the the excellent arrangements as class decorated the corridor with orange colours. The programme was arranged in Forensic Medicine lecture theatre hall and worthy Deputy Dean Prof.Dr.A.G.Rehan cut the cake. In his speech he pleased the class by announcing a Farewell party for the outgoing final year class. This was termed as a good tradition and will promote the interaction of students with their teachers. Over & all it was a memorable event for the final year class as they celebrated their last anniversary in PMC Faisalabad.

Elections for Class Representatives held for 3rd year PMC

Students of 3rd year very actively participated in the elections of their representatives for this year. Numerous students applied for election which was held on 20.12.2002 under the Election Commission comprising of Dr.Naeem Iqbal (Pharmacology), Dr.Mohammad Aslam (Forensic Medicine) & Dr.Rana Qaiser Mahmood (Pathology). About 200 students casted their votes and according to the results announced for 3 seats of boys Mohammad Mohsin (27), Mohammad Ali (19), Nauman Saeed (17) were elected & for 3 seats of girls Maryam Farooq (44), Sana Batool (30) & Afsheen Javed (20) were elected.

Without any shade of doubt this was an exclusive occasion in the history of Pakistan when a medical teacher got on-line with his students answering their questions for over an hour. This special occasion was arranged on December 3rd 2002 when Head of Forensic Medicine, Dr Khurram Raja talked to his students paving way for other teachers to follow the tradition.

Staff-Student cricket match in PMC 2001

In order to promote healthy recreational activities, Teachers vs Students cricket match was played in Punjab Medical College Faisalabad in April 2002. It was a limited overs tennis ball match. A large number of students from all the classes watched the match and added their voice by cheering and shouting. This is a good tradition and hope it will continue in future.
