BATMAN

ROBIN

MR. FREEZE

BATGIRL

POISON IVY

BANE

After Batman Forever, there were rumours that Demi Moore was likely to play the part of Poison Ivy in the forthcoming Batman 4. The rumors proved false, as Uma Thurman took the role, without even reading the script.

I think that in about 10 years, Uma will think of Batman & Robin as ''The Film She Would Like To Forget.'' Her acting as Poison Ivy is THAT horrible, and it's not her fault, but the script's and director's fault. Not to mention the colorful ultra-kitsch costumes she had to wear for the role. In my opinion, B&R's Poison Ivy is the worst and most unnecessary villain in the Batman film series (well, there's Bane of course but he wasn't even talking).

Anyway, I think that Poison Ivy, the comic-book heroine wasn't even it for a film. Like Robin's red and green costume, oversized killer plants look OK in a comic book or an animated show, but awful in a live-action film.

About Poison Ivy in the Comics:

Poison Ivy first appeared in Batman#181, June 1966. Her alter ego is Pamela Isley, a botanist who was turned into something else by Woodrue's experiments. Her body manufactures toxins to which she is immune, however, a kiss from her is certain death. Isley recently escaped from Arkham to catch Allergent, some moron who was killing plant life in Gotham to stop his allergies.
