As each gentle wave caresses the sand
Like they are reaching out to touch my hand
Lifting me from the depths of this misery
I feel the healing of the sea
Like a kind friend from a far away place
It soothes my soul, my pain to erase
Returning to its own after touching me
Once again I have been healed by the sea
Like the waves stretching down the length of this beach
Life has come close but is too far to reach
And the death I have seen can only be
Comforted by the healing sea
For the rhythm is constant; no beginning..no end
Giving life from its depths - never to rend
Providing endless peace and tranquillity
Is the healing Power of the sea
The pain, the heartaches of my whole world
Disappear as the endless waves are unfurled
