In Loving Memory Of Nanook

Thank You For Visiting Nanook's Memorial Page. Nanook was a gorgeous 5 year old, grey & white, blue eyed Siberian Husky baby. He left for the Rainbow Bridge in early August 2000.

Nanook was a big goofy baby & a sweetheart to all who new him. Wesley & I rescued him from Miami-Dade Animal Control on Feb. 28, 2000. Nanook was a mess when we rescued him...as soon as our hearts locked with his, we knew we had to help him....and we did. Nanook spent the next 6 months in foster care & loving every minute of his new families. Nanook was very lucky, he didn't just have one family, he had three. He had his own king sized bed in his own bedroom, even with his own door to go outside...he had children to play with & other dogs to run with & even some pesky cats that he had to put up with. Nanook always let you know when he wanted something, because he would "tell" you...He would talk to you as his big blue eyes lit up with love & affection.

Although Nanook left us suddenly, deep in my heart I know that for the past 6 months, he was the happiest boy on earth. Now, he is in heaven, waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for us to come & stand by his side.

Thank You To Everyone Who Sent Us Donations To Help Nanook & Our Rescue Efforts. A Million Thank You's To Brenda From Doggone Dogs, Inc., Marilyn & Staci, Who Without Their Help Nanook Wouldn't Have Been Able To Be Such A Happy & Loving Boy. We Know Nanook Will Be Waiting For All Of You At The Rainbow Bridge. Wesley & I Cannot Thank You Enough For All You Did.

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown...
