Max's Page

Welcome to Max's page. Max was our first rescue. We received a call in May '99 from Key Largo Animal Shelter saying there was a husky mix at their shelter who needed a home. Without even knowing his name or what he looked like, we drove 2 hours south to the shelter to see him. As soon as we saw him, we knew we couldn't leave him there, so we packed him up & took him home. For the next two years, Max would grow to be our best friend. He is definately quite the character. We believed Max to be an Alaskan Malamute/German Shepherd mix, but after doing some research we thought maybe he was a Norweign Elkhound. Either way, whatever breed he is or mixed with, Max is a treasure.

Max is such a special & sweet boy & we tried so hard to find him the best home. Well, on June 1, 2000 Wesley & I said goodbye to our buddy as we gave him to his new parents, Joni & Sam Morris. Joni & Sam were exactly the parents we were looking for, Joni saw Max's picture on our website & just fell in love with him! When they met Max for the first time, they knew that they had found the perfect boy for them!

Thank You Joni & Sam for being everything we have been looking for in parents for our sweet boy, Max.

Here are some pictures of Max when he was with us, more pictures will be added of Max & his new family.
