My page and my story started on 20 September 1919 in Barberton, Ohio, where I had as
normal a childhood as could be expected during the great depression.
I joined the USAAF at age 19 and was sent to China as a member of the Flying tigers.
Shortly after joining the USAAF
Upon being discharged in St. Petersburg, Fl. I stayed there to begin a career in Law
Enforcement. I lived there many years, and became Chief of Police in Madiera Beach.
After leaving Florida and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, I met the girl who was to become my
wife and lifetime partner.
