Son of Jacob and Maria Magdalena (Un ruh) Kaufman; 9th son of Jacob.
The following is excerpted from Peter and Elizabeth Kaufman Family Record
P 764-5: Little is known about Andrew Kaufman. His niece Lydia Kkaufman
Goering wrote the following: "When Dad (Daniel Kkaufman) was living alone
in his early years experiencing the trials and hardships of pioneer life,
his brother Andrew came over one day. When he saw how hard Dad worked, he
said that he would not slave like that, he would go aaw3ay and not come
back till he could make them all rich. Years later, Dad heard that Andrew
had done somethingt worth of a prison sentence, so he went to the prison
at Leavenworth and received permission to stand with the wardens as the
p-risoners marched to the table to eat. But he did not find his brother.
I don't think Dad ever forgot him, as many years later, he often told me
when I went for the mail that I sould bring him a letter from his brother,
but no letter ever came."

The Heidinger family of Falkenstein, Galicia, descended from Johann and
Barabara. Perhaps this couple had a son that married a Mennonite girl.
