HelenWheels: I feel pretty lucky to have known him. He could teach me a thing or two about patience with medical problems. I was a cranky btch when I was dealing with my circulatory problems.

AliBaba: and if you'll recall, a while back I posted about problems I was having with my pathetic love life, and he posted some very kind words to me about it. Everyone did, but for him to take the time when he was suffering - again, that's Bryan

Ingeborg: being banned on snopes, I don't even lurk so I missed the news about Bryan--my condolences

HelenWheels: And I like the thought of him "lurking" here.

tomc: Why not? In my religion, to quote one of the prayers, "Life is changed, not taken away"

HelenWheels: I wanted to tell you all about a letter that I got from Lou a few days ago.

AliBaba: please do

HelenWheels: After the last update, I collected the responses from the board and sent them in an email.

HelenWheels: She wrote back and told me that, even though she got them after Bryan's passing, they really did help to cheer her up.

AliBaba: my god, what a woman

HelenWheels: She also told of how the boys were handling the news...

Ingeborg: good work bev

HelenWheels: They're only 3, keep in mind...

tomc: 3 years old?

HelenWheels: But Preston knows that Mommy is sad because Daddy passed away. He's not quite sure what that means, though.

HelenWheels: They asked her a couple of nights ago if this meant that Daddy was going to miss Christmas and their birthdays.

birdman: sniff

AliBaba: sigh

HelenWheels: She said THAT was a tough one to answer without losing it again.

AliBaba: How'd she do it?

HelenWheels: She didn't say specifically, but I'm sure she explained it truthfully and with courage.
