We recently finished work on the new deck in the back of the house, there is a picture of it during construction in the PICTURES section of the site. The deck spans the entire back of the house and was built by the brothers. Roman Stefenelli coordinated this event and we owe a lot of gratitude to him and his friend Dean who advised and helped with the construction. If you see Roman, please thank him for all his work and dedication to the fraternity. As always, we are still having troubles with Erie code issues.
Our newest problem is that Gannon might decide to implement the 50 person
maximum occupancy in the house city ordinance on us. As some of you
know, our parties are much more structured than they were when most of
you were in school. We have to present a pre-party list of students
we expect to come to our parties, check Gannon ID's, and turn away those
who are not on the list or come after we have filled the open spots Gannon
allows. This new rule would make us only allowed to have 50 people
in the house at a time. This would include parties, mixers (which
we are no longer able to have with 3 of the 5 Sororities anyway), alumni
functions, and our fall formal. To be able to have more people
come in the house, we would have to modify the house and declare the house
a place of assembly instead of a place of residence. It is a complicated
issue that IFC is looking into and hopes to change Gannon's mind on.
If you have any input or questions, please feel free to email
us.
