What Others Say About Angels

But if these beings guard you, they do so because they have been summoned by your prayers. Saint Ambrose

The Scripture says there is a time to be born and a time to die. And when my time to die comes an angel will be there to comfort me. He will give me peace and joy even at that most critical hour, and usher me into the presence of God, and I will dwell with the Lord forever. Thank God for the ministry of His blessed angels. Billy Graham

We not only live among men, but there are airy hosts, blessed spectators, sympathetic lookers-on, that see and know and appreciate our thoughts and feelings and acts. Henry Ward Beecher

The angels are the dispensers and administrators of the Divine beneficence toward us; they regard our safety, undertake our defense, direct our ways and exercise a constant solicitude that no evil befall us. John Calvin

Hush, my dear, lie still and slumber! Holy angels guard thy bed! Heavenly blessings without number Gently falling on thy head. A Cradle Hymn. Isaac Watts.

I am convinced that these heavenly beings exist and that they provide unseen aid on our behalf. I do not believe in angels because someone has told me about a dramatic visitation from an angel, impressive as such testimonies may be. I do not believe in angels because UFO's are astonishingly angel-like in some of their reported appearances. I do not believe in angels because some ESP experts are making the realm of the spirit world seem even more plausible. I do not believe in angels because of the sudden worldwide emphasis on the reality of Satan and demons. I do not believe in angels because I have ever seen one - because I haven't. I believe in angels because the Bible says there are angels; and I believe the Bible to be the true Word of God. Billy Graham

Make yourself familiar with the angels, and behold them frequently in spirit; for without being seen, they are present with you. Saint Francis de Sales

An angel can illuminate the thought and mind of man by strengthening the power of vision. Saint Thomas Aquinas

I went forth to find an angel
And found this effort brought
That life is full of so much good
The touch that angels wrought. James Joseph Huesgen

We can all be angels to one another. We can choose to obey the still small stirring within, the little whisper that says, Go. Ask. Reach out. Be an answer to someone's plea. You have a part to play. Have faith. We can decide to risk that He is indeed there, watching, caring, cherishing us as we love and accept love. The world will be a better place for it. And wherever they are, the angels will dance. Joan Wester Anderson

We are like children, who stand in need of masters to enlighten us and direct us; and God has provided for this, by appointing his angels to be our teachers and guides. Saint Thomas Aquinas

All God's angels come to us disguised. James Russell Lowell

Angel of God, my guardian dear
To whom God's love commits me here;
Ever this day be at my side,
To light and guard, to rule and guide. Traditional Catholic Prayer

Let us be silent that we may hear the whisper of God. Ralph Waldo Emerson

God's Angels come as a result of prayer and belief in God.

A simple and powerful way of prayer is:

1. Say Thank You. Be grateful and thankful. Speak to God who sends His angels. "Father I thank you for the angels you have sent before me . . ."
2. Ask. Be specific.
3. Believe. Trust that if what you are asking for is the right thing for you, then it will happen in the right way at the right time. Expect positive results.
4. Let It Happen. Allow God and God's Angels to do Their work.
