Monsters/Brigands
These are the encounters within the campaign world. They interact with PCs as enemies. Monsters or Brigands can become minor or major NPCs depending on the outcome of the conflict. A half-orc brigand that ambushes the PC party and is offered a position with them, is an example of this occurance. Though, this doesn't happen often, it makes for interesting bedfellows.
