I really shouldn't call this section NES For Dummies, it's actually an introduction to NES collecting for beginning collectors. I hope you guys aren't insulted by the title of this section. If you are then I hope I can redeem myself (and my site) by presenting you guys with great collectors tips. Read below to get a good collection of games.

Ask Friends
Asking friends can be a great way to pick up a few Nintendo games. Friends will sell you games cheaply, or they may even give them to you for free. Unfortuanatly for me, my friends really don't have their Nintendos anymore. It's worth a try though.

Yard Sales
If you go to yard sales, you can get loads of games cheap. I only went to 1 Yardsale looking for Nintendo games, and at that yardsale I got 1 Nintendo control deck, a SMB.DH cart, 2 controllers, 1 Zapper, Section Z, amd all of the hook-ups except 1. All working, and for the cheap price of $1. This spring/summer, I am going to have to shop around at yardsales a little more.

Flea Markets
I really can't verify wether Flea Markets hold good finds or not. I have never went to a flea market, but some day I hope to do a little searching there. Some people make out with good finds, while others might not.

Auctions
Auctions have great NES games. On-line auctions have practicaly any NES game you could want. Go to Ebay for they are the best on-line auction site around. Real auctions sometimes hold games too so check around but be prepared to pay a hefty price for the rarer stuff.

Pawn Shops
Some pawn shops hold games. Others don't. This may be a way to go if you like pawn shops, but if you don't enjoy pawn shops, you probably won't miss out on much here.

Used Game Shops
Search in used game bins in used game shops. I found almost all of my rarer games in used game shops for like $5 at the most. Look around a bit, and you will be glad that you did.

Relatives
Some of my cool games I got from my brother who found them for me different places. If you have a brother/sister/relative who likes games, tell them to keep their eyes out for used games and they might pick something up for you. I know my brother has often found used games for me different times.

Besides these places, I really can't say where else you can get games. Just be creative and the games will just start showing up.

Why Play NES?
The NES was and is the best gaming system of all time. The games are fun and best of all, cheap. Would you rather buy a N64/Playstation game that might not be good ($50) or several Nintendo games for $50 which would buy you around 10-20 games? We both know the answer. I bought several bad NES games, but I don't feel bad about it. I bought a few bad N64 games, and I was upset for wasting money on them. It's your choice, but I am sure you will go the right path.
