Dark Futures is the home of the most exclusive underground Goth and Industrial bands. We are currently a small, but growing label. Why are we called Dark Futures? Because there are so many....dark futures out there. We believe that underground bands need to be well represented and their music made more easily available to the public. We specialize in representing the growing number of peculiar crossover bands, who still fit within the realm of Goth /Industrial. We are committed to making a better music scene, and bringing the best of the new, ennui infested groups to you--the black clad CD junkie with nothing better to do.

Dark futures is also putting together an unlikely mix of music in honor of the badly arranged duos that the music industry seems to love these days (eminem, elton john). This disc is featuring two well known artists, Rob Zombie, and Britney spears. But instead of performing a mere duo, these two will be performing each others work. Highlights on the disc so far are Zombie's lovable versions of baby one more time and oops I did get again, as well as britney's rousing rendition of superbeast and living dead girl. Will be in stores this summer.

Whispering Meathooks announces another sideproject:

Hexagonads is the newest Electro/R&B project for Staine, which he describes as "anethemic, with overtones of fetishism. " Staine spent hours sampling snapping rubber gloves and the screams of jam play (a fetish activity where the participants smear themselves with molten jam and have it slowly wiped off with extremely stale toast.)

Songs for Skulls

Dark Futures is putting together a compilation to raise money for the Homeless Skull fund. Millions of preowned skulls wander homeless through the afterlife without anyone to really care for them. SkullHunter, in cooperation with Dark Futures and its talented musicians has cooperated to bring about this musical project that will raise funds to help the displaced dead and made the public more aware of this crisis.

Among the contributing bands are Vertiginous Catatonia with "Urn No Longer for Peace", Crucial Agony with "I Dig You (Up)", MC Evil C with "Yo, Ma Bitch is Waxed", Knights of Black Fungus with "Death is so Lonely Without You",Deciduous Decay with "No Sense of Decomposure", and Disco Bimbo Glitter Poodles with...... well, once they find out how to plug in their instruments, they will be contributing also. Proceeds from the album go to the Homeless Skull Fund and Charon's Ferry Service. The album will be out this fall.

Knights of Black Fungus

appears on the "We're NOT Goth" Sisters of Mercy Tribute, on the Catstabber label. They contributed with a two hour extended mix of This Corrosion.
