Welcome to Callista's Middle Eastern Belly Dance, a website devoted to the art of Middle Eastern dance! Within these pages you will find information on the Middle Eastern dance (also known as Raqs Sharqi, belly dance, and Oriental dance), including its history, costuming, books, music, articles, do-it-yourself guides, and much more. To see what's new at Callista's Middle Eastern Belly Dance, check out the what's new area of the site (you can get a brief look at what's been added to the far right column). The "What's new?" section of this site should be your first click when visiting my site. I will also begin archiving the older updates so you can check out what we've been up to. For those of you who are performing Middle Eastern dancers or are in a performing Middle Eastern dance troupe, you have the option of being named the Spotlight Dancer/Troupe. All you need to do is me with the required information (check out the spotlight dancer/troupe sections for the info. needed). If you would like some promotion at Callista's Middle Eastern Belly Dance, you are able to enter yourself into the Dancer's Directory, a section in which you can post your dance style, rates, what you perform, how long you perform, etc. If you have any questions, comments, complaints, etc., then and I will get back to you as soon as possible!
