A battle was raging in the area surrounding Iacon. Three Autobot squads were defending the city from Overlords troops that were under the command of Sixshot. The battle was over the launch of Ultra Magnus' starcruiser. Even though the Autobots were sucessful in defending their comrades, the main commander named Fortress was growing dissatisfied with that way of life.
As the battle raged on, two scouts returned, Scattershot and Diatlas. Scattershot reported that he found a world. It was sparsly populated and serene, but weapons had been banned eons ago. It was perfect for a peaceful new settlement.
Diatlas reported that there was an Autobot research base on the planet Omicron, that they could go to.
Emirate Xaaron had a perilous decision to make. Should he take all of the Autobots that were left in Iacon and abandon Cybertron to the Decepticons? None of the other scouts, that he sent out ever returned with news of the whereabouts of Optimus Prime and the Matrix. Fortress convinced him to leave.
Xaaron would take the only remaining fragment of Primus' spark with him. Fortress would take the Sword of Iacon with him. They decided to go to seperate sectors of the Galaxy.
Fortress liked what he heard. After sucessfully routing the Decepticons, he made plans to leave for the new world. Three other Autobot units, under the command of Getaway, Pointblank, and Scattershot decided to join him on the journey.
Overlord found out about the departure and vowed to prevent that from happening. He needed to acquire the Master Sword, which is the key for the entrance of Iacon. He was going to send Sixshot and units under the command of Snaptrap, Slugslinger, and Hungrrr to make up for Sixshots previous failure in acquiring the sword.
The Omicron station was developing Ani-mutant technologies. They were studying the outcome of the hybrid of a Cybertronian body and living organics.
Many new facts were discovered. Energy consumption was lowered since, they could now eat food, instead of relying on their dwindling supply of Energon. They could also recouperate quicker due to the fact of the regenerative attributes of living cells. There was also the fact that their senses were augmented by the natural instincts of the animals that they DNA-scanned.
Xaarons group of Autobots, arrived on Omicron and some decided to submit to the Ani-Mutant process. Many adopt new names to go with their new faces.
Xaaron and Diatlas decide to leave, knowing the Autobots are now safe and go searching for Optimus Prime and the Matrix.
Xaaron left the fragment of Primus' spark in the custody of Big Convoy, the General of the newly formed Maximals.
A small faction of Decepticons calling themselves Predacons arrive to steal the Ani-mutant process, but swiftly fail. A truce was implemented and there was peace for many stellar cycles, until Protoform X was created.
Many Maximals just wanted to forget about the old wars so Omicron was renamed New Cybertron, but over the years, many citizens just shortened the name to just Cybertron.
Protoform X went on a rampage and killed many Maximals and Predacons, leaving Depth Charge as the installations only survivor, who restrained him. This provided an excellent cover for Cryoteks masterplan.
Big Convoy assigned a recently promoted Maximal to dispose of Protoform X. Optimus Primal and his crew, three of which were active and thirty were in Protoform mode, who were recently inbibed with energy from Primus' spark fragment. Che and Rattle were told that it was a scientific mission to find new forms for scanning, But Optimus Primal and Rhinox knew the dark truth about their mission.
Optimus Primal and his crew soon departed aboard the Axalon.
After a few months, a group of five Predacons broke into the Maximal Archives and stole an ancient alien golden disc. They then sabotaged all available Maximal spacecraft, except the one they also stole.
Big Convoy contacted the Axalon, which was still surveying star systems, to find an uninhabited world to leave Protoform X on. Big Convoy ordered Primal to track the stolen ship and capture the renegade Predacons.
Many months went by, but there was still no word from Optimus Primal or the renegade Predacons. Big Convoy decides to send out probes to every known star system, to no avail.
Then a year after that, a Transwarp wave was discovered by the Predacons on one of their lunar bases. The Tri-Predacus council decided to detonate an orbiting satellite to disrupt the wave so the Maximals could not detect it. The coucil then sent a special agent in a steath ship to the source of the wave, but he was never heard from again.
Since it was presumed that the Axalon had met its end. Depth Charge hijacked a Starhopper to seek out Protoform X and destroy him.
Two stellar cycles later an Autobot shuttle crashes on a mettallic plain. There is no reception what-so-ever, there is only intense pain. As the crew of the antique ship head for the Maximal high council chamber, they are attacked by divisions of similarly styled tanks and jets.
Optimus Primal wants to know what the future holds for BEASTS AND MACHINES....
