Tifa Lockheart Tifa Lockheart is the childhood friend of Cloud Strife, and grew up with him in Nibelheim. It was Tifa who was the guide for Cloud and Sephiroth on their visit to Nibelheim five years previously, the visit that ended in Sephiroth's insanity. Tifa's father was amongst the many people killed in Nibelheim by the great warrior. Enraged by what Sephiroth had done, she herself tried to fight him, and failed. She is acutely aware that Cloud is not telling the truth about his past, either because he does not want others to know his true history, or he himself does not remember it, however she keeps her silence. She has strong feelings for Cloud, and although she would never admit it, competes with Aeris Gainsborough for his affections, forming the almost traditional Final Fantasy love triangle. She is strong willed, and powerful in battle. |
