German Destroyers

All the destroyers that were laid down are listed here. Each ship listed twice was laid down with one original class, but reclassified during the career history of the ship.
The majority of the German destroyer histories, unless otherwise stated on the article themselves were gathered from these three main sources:

German Navy-This is also Michael Emmerich's home page, and has very useful states and also his battles and individual histories mention the destroyers in them.

Power At Sea-This site is one of the main sources for my report. The webmaster and information available have been MOST helpful, and have become one of the main resources.

German Destroyers of World War II, written by M.J. Whitley. This book also has excellent information on German destroyers, wonderful illustrations on armament layouts, stats, and detailed reports on actions of the destroyers. This is truly an excellent book and I recommend that you pick it up if you see it.

This was made as a joint project between Michael Emmerich and myself. Any one of us should be able to answer any questions on the German destroyers. My first goal is going to be to try to get at least one destroyer per class done...then I will work on filling those in as I feel like it.
