This is a halfling community, that is also home to many half-elven people that constitute the bulk of the border guard of Meridia.Being a generally peaceful people and not physically built for battle the halflings rely on the border guard and mercenaries to protect them from the raiding Drow elfs to the south. It is seperated from Terragon by a natural inlet and an unforgiving stretch of the Danzien Wasteland, giving them much needed protection . Meridia is basically a farming community with access to the sea which makes it a desirable need to the Drow Elfs.
