Preface
These Lessons are offered for use by individuals and study groups. There
are 52 lessons in this series, one for each week of the year.
These lessons are designed to exhibit some of the most important
doctrines and moral precepts recorded in the Gospel, disconnected, as far
as possible, from mere human traditions, and the commandments of men.
Frequent references are made to the Scriptures, for answers to the
questions, not always with the intention that the answers shall be given
in the precise words of the passages referred to, but with the belief that
the obvious principles involved, or expressly asserted, in such passages,
will direct the mind of the scholar to proper answers. Other questions,
where no Scriptural reference is given, are designed to exercise the mind
of the scholar, and it is believed that, in most cases, no very great
difficulty will be encountered in answering them.
Study Group Leaders: The study group leader should prepare for the
lesson beforehand by reading, answering the questions, and looking for
other Scripture references and material to support the content of the lesson.
