| Cloning of Embryos |
U |
"I'm not to sure. Stem Cell research has a good chance
at curing diseases like Alzheimer's, an awful disease my Grandmother has
right now. But I don't think the murder of millions justifies the
saving of millions, even if it means my grandmother never being cured.
"Now that we can clone human embryos, abortion isn't necessary to pick
up stem cells. But I'm undecided because I don't know if I consider this
life. I believe cloning is wrong and I don't think humans that are developed
this way could have souls. So From that aspect, it's all right.
"But I'm sure there are some who believe any cloned human has a soul
too. If they are pro-life, they may one day stop the creation of
this life just for drilling it of stem cells and let them grow to be normal
humans, possibly one day better than our kind. Obviously that is
bad. So there are pros and cons to it and I'm still sorting them
out in my mind." |
| Abortion |
D |
"When does life actually begin? I think it begins at conception because
there is no other logical place for it to begin. Some may say after
the first trimester. That to me is still stupid, is a single cell organism
alive? YES. So is a multi-cell human baby.
"But won't that child die if it is removed from the mother? Yes,
but if the mother throws her born child in the dumpster, will that child
die? Of course. The born child is just as dependent on the mother's care
as a unborn one.
"Some might also say that a mother has the right to do with her body
as she wishes. Fine, if she wants to take a straw and suck her heart
out with it, let her, but do not let it happen to someone who feels safe
in their mother's womb.
"What if the mother is raped? Well, I used to be more flexible
here. But then I thought about it, does rape justify murder? I don't
think so." |
| At Large Powers in Student Council |
D |
"At Large Members are not elected by the students
to represent them, therefore they shouldn't represent them. In October,
a bill passed our chamber, while I was away on a SAFE camping trip, that
gave At Large members more power! They can now not only vote and serve
on committees, but now they can chair committees. That means be the
person in charge of the committee.
"The explanation of this is that the Student
Government should be more activity based than leadership based.
"I don't care how things are based, students
elect officers and representatives to do a job, and most don't know their
representatives are having their power stripped by unelected At Large Members.
"Representative Bryan Povlinski and Treasurer
Mike Frost of 2005, and Secretary Mary Kate McKenna of 2002 are supporting
me greatly in this uphill battle. There are also other Representatives
and Officers that are opposed to the At Large take over and we look forward
to having their support when we bring up legislation pushing the At Large
Members back down to delegate status."
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?
Talk to your Officers and Representatives and
even At-Large Members listed here. Let them
know there is a problem and that it's time they get to representing you. |
| Drug Testing |
D |
"Remember back two years ago to my Presidential Campaign. I was
and still am very opposed to drug testing in our school and any other PUBLIC
school. The government, including the school, has no probable cause
to search us with random drug testing.
"The Indiana Court of Appeals declared it unconstitutional a few months
after the problems I caused the school. Still there is one school
that uses it illegally in the state.
"This doesn't mean I support drug usage or trafficking. I do
support the constitution though." |
| Illegal Drugs and those with them |
D |
"Personally, I consider all drug lords, cartels, traffickers, sellers,
buyers, and users terrorists. They manufacture, transport, sell,
and use chemical weapons that cause changes to the brain's chemical output
and cause permanent damage.
"Druggies will deny this saying that some drugs don't permanently effect
the mind. But look at the people who use these drugs. Look
at how they changed since they started using the drug. I've noticed changes
in EVERYONE who has used these illegal drugs.
"The problem is that drugs aren't being searched out in this area enough.
Officials say there isn't a problem, but that's because they aren't arresting
enough people or using all available resources to catch them.
"There is a problem in Chesterton, and these terrorists will only start
growing in numbers unless we stop them while we still out number them." |
| School Vouchers |
A |
"School Vouchers are a product of the GOP and I stand firmly behind
those who support them. The School Voucher program allows schools
to be ran more like a business where the students are the customers. If
the school that these students go to is not teaching, then the government
will give a refund to the parents and will allow them to send their child
to a better school.
"I really don't know why liberals don't stand behind this idea. Sure
it promotes good, localized schools. If they want to say Republicans are
against educating the American Children, well then, it should be them standing
behind this idea.
"I believe however that Republicans really have the best interests
in mind for American students and the Democrats merely want the title." |
| Tax Cuts |
A |
"America turned a profit, also known as a surplus. And we will continue
to have one long into the decade, though the surplus is lower than it was
a couple years ago, it's still a surplus.
"Now it sounds good! It looks good on paper. But think about what that
surplus really is. That is the amount the American Government over
taxed you, the American people.
"Same with tax rebates. Some people actually plan ahead to overpay
their taxes so they get money back from the IRS in tax rebates actually
thinking they outsmarted the IRS. HA!
"The most pure and logical way to give back this stolen money is not
to spend it on worthless government programs, the thing to do is give it
back through tax cuts so that the American people don't overpay like they
did during the Clinton years." |
| Afghan War |
A |
"The people of Afghanistan were ruled by people more evil than Hitler.
True the numbers weren't near those of Nazi Germany's kills, and they didn't
have any sort of world domination planned. What the Taliban Regime
did was try to suck the souls out of the people while killing all Christians
and Jews that might be in that country.
"The Taliban was ruled primarily by a coward named Omar. He,
like Osama bin Laden had a screwed up version of Islam burned in his mind.
Omar denounced the western culture and banned everything relating to it.
"Women were banned from society and I won't even mention the customs
they created on women on this web site. Omar and his regime also
had a nearly mandatory death sentence for every crime. For lesser
crimes, severe punishment was used. For example, pit-pocketers would have
their hands cut off. But what is possibly more disturbing is where
they did this. During half time at public sporting events.
"We should never had let the Taliban Regime come into power, it's sad
to think it took the events of September 11th to bring it down along with
the Al Queda Terrorist Network.
"Afghanistan, with its now destroyed Opium fields, and emptied Terrorist
caves and training camps was only our first target. Iraq, Iran, Somalia,
Chechniya, and the Sudan are all thought to harbor terrorists and we will
not stop until they are hunted down and smoked out." |
| National Election Codes |
D |
"What more can I say other than it is unconstitutional? The whole idea
of it is wrong too. We should be fighting to keep elections as local as
possible. Especially now that Hillary is a Senator, God knows how bad she
will screw things up." |
