Nickname: "Monkeyboy"
Mask: Sid wears a variety of gas masks.
About: Sid, Slipknots sarcastic DJ, claims to suffer from 'organic
brain syndrome'. At concerts, he is usually found croud surfing or
doing other crazy shit, like stage diving from a two-story balcony.
Sid and Shawn (the clown-masked percussionist, #6) maintain a rivalry
which often breaks out as violence on stage. Sid is definatly a sick
son of a bitch.

Mask: Joey wears a plain white expressionless Japanese kabuki mask
About: Joey is Slipknots lead drummer. He is often described as a
talkative and down to earth guy. He has long black hair with vivid red
streaks (I'm jealous!) and lovingly refers to Slipknot fans as
"maggots".

Mask: Paul wears a pig's face mask with its septum pierced. (looks
just like me!)
About: Paul is the co-founder of Slipknot . He says the pig face mask he
wears relates to his indulgent personality.

Mask: Chris wears a bondage type Pinnochio mask, with a nose about
7-8 inches long. He has several different versions.
About: Chris is known as the soft-spoken joker of the band. He claims
to have seen UFO's at Indigo Ranch and likes to jack-off the nose
of his mask.
Quote: about his mask,"When you put it on, it takes you to another
place. It's very hot, it's very tight and it hurts - and that goes
along with the aggression we create."

Nicknamed: "The Peach"
Old Mask: black bondage hood
New Mask: He now wears a court jester/demon mask.
About: James is Slipknots newest lunatic. He joined Slipknot during
recording of the record, replacing Josh (the old guitarist) and was
forced by his bandmates to inherit a stifling black bondage hood.
James claims that being a member of Slipknot has changed his attitude
towards 'right' and 'wrong'.
Quote: when asked about his mask. "I've puked through it a few times.
It's got boogers stuck in it and my roommates are pissed at me because
it stinks up the whole house."
"Joining this band takes a little getting used to. I was a timid guy
before I joined them. Now I'm a freak!"

Mask: A weighty diver's helmet crowned in nails
About: Craig origionaly joined the band as a guitarist but is now
the sensitive sound effects man.He often leaves concerts early to
maintain his anonymity. He often feels alienated and alone since no
one comes near him when he's head banging.

"Sometimes when we're working our way up on stage, we'll shove our
way through the crowd. When people see me coming they mostly get out
of the way. But sometimes they don't..."

Name: Shawn Crahan
Numerical label: 6
Birthdate: September 24, 1969
Instrument: Percussion
Nicknamed: "Kong"
Mask: Shawn wears a clown mask, said to be custom made himself.
About: Shawn is Slipknots jack-of-all-trades drummer and co-founder of
the band. He was a welder before joining the band, and made his own
drum set out of titanium (the same material used on the Nasa Space
Shuttle). On a Howard Stern show, Shawn crapped in a bucket and gave
it to Howard as a momento of their visit. Shawn has twice cut his
forehead during the same song, and has suffered countless other
injuries during performances. If theres a fight on stage, chances are,
Shawn started it.

About: Mick is Slipknots hockey masked guitarist. He is fully aware
of similarity with Jason Vorhees from "Friday The 13th" films.
He describes himself as "a night person", and professes to being a fan
of serial killers and cats.

Name: Corey Taylor

Instrument: Vocals
Nicknamed: "The Sickness"
Mask: a leatherface cover, with brown/blonde dreads made partially
of his own hair.
About:Corey is the master of the horrid vocals and lyrics in Slipknot.
On stage he is loud, fast, and out of control. Offstage, hes very calm
and down to Earth.He was formerly the front man of Iowa band
"Stone Sour", and prefers the first name "Faith".

"We aren't hiding behind these masks, we're actually revealing more
to you than you might think. The mask I wear brings out all the shit
inside me that I hate. Plus it hurts like hell, which helps my
intensity."
