There are merely a rough indication of the possible causes of breakdown in things you can't normally fix at roadside.The variation in types of transmission, braking,and steering systems is so enormous both from one manufacturer to another and with in one company, that we can do no more here than suggest general faults and refer you to the work shop manual.
This will tell you whether the faults is going to be with in your powers and the capacities of your equipment, or whether you'd be better off simply removing the fault unit from the car and taking it to the agent for repair or exchange.
