Notes
In the 1808 census (Unruh, p. 326), he is listed at Blumenort #3, and is said
to have come from Elbing, Prussia. The migration list (Unruh, p. 353) says
that he migrated to the Molotschna in 1804 from Grubenhagen by Elbing,
Prussia. In the 1835 census entry for Tiegerweide #6, his widow and youngest
children are listed, with his wife having remarried Jacob Peter Driedger. The
1835 census entry for Blumenort #23 indicates that he died, probably there, in
1825 (rather than in Ladekop!). He was the son of Johann Warkentin.
