The Virtual Online Halloween Foosball Tournaments are once again up and running!!
This is the central page for the Online Virtual Halloween Foosball Tournaments. This tradition was started in 2001. Every year, there is a virtual (online) Halloween Foosball Tournament as well as a celebrity version. The winners of these tournaments are not actually decided with a real foosball table, but rather by the votes of the Halloween Foosball Tournament website's visitors. Each tournament consists of several polls asking who would win a foosball match between a certain two people. The voters chose who they think would win (or more accurately, who they'd want to win) and the person with more votes advances.
This year we decided to do something a little different with the Virtual Halloween Foosball Tournament. Instead of following the same traditional model as the past couple years, we've decided in honor of the Women's World Cup going on to hold the 2003 VHFT World Cup style with a round robin first round, followed by a single elimination, quarterfinals-finals.
Right now the Virtual Halloween Foosball Tournament and the Celebrity Online Foosball Tournament are available. The long planned Sopranos tournament is still in the works and there are several other ideas under consideration. Also a history of the Virtual Halloween Foosball Tournament and all of its results through the years will be coming soon.
In previous years, we've made it to the final two, but there wasn't much time available for the people to vote in the finals. This year we're starting early to have more time, and thus help get the most possible voters to participate.
