Interview with Mike Corbelle - April 11, 2002

Interviewer: Mike, welcome...good to see you, have you been working out? You look good this season, doing a little training in the off-season?

Mike: I always look good...I don't work out, stunts the growth.

Interviewer: So Mike, last season your team finished a disappointing 4-16, can we expect a different turn out this year?

Mike: Yes, reverse last season's record and thats mine for this season.

Interviewer: 16-4?? Thats um...quite the call there Mike, seeing last year you predicted you would do good then too

Mike: The game is all about attitudes, I am confident that I will produce some big victories this season

Interviewer: So theres been some talk you've been disappointed with the division arragment, you feel the AL is too strong?

Mike: I do not necessarily feel that it is too strong, but its power hitting style doesnt fit my kind of play.

Interviewer: What are your predictions for this year?

Mike: I'm feeling an above .500 season, I'm thinking for the whole league the standings will be...Griffin (1st), Gargan (2nd), Gulino (3rd), myself (4th), Mack (5th), Gibbs (6th), Miller (7th), Murfag (8th). I am looking for a big surprise from newcomer Kurtis "hands" Gibbs, and I feel that he will give the veterans a run for their money

Interviewer: Last year in spring training you beat most opponenets, you have been doing the game this year...but last year when the season came you did not continute winning. Fellow Griffleballer Chris Gulino did not predict you to finish strong this year, what about Gulino

Mike: He's right...although I finish strong in the exhibition games, i will spiral downwards as the season progresses, but I am looking to turn around my previouis experiences and carry my strong preseason play all the way throught the season.

Interviewer: Any more comments?

Mike: Buffalo wings are good.

Interviewer: About the league?

Mike: Uhhh....nope.

Interviewer: Ooooookkk, well thank you Mike but we really gotta rap it up, thanks for your time.

Mike: Ok, I gotta go eat anyways.
