Dawn of the Dead

In 1977, filming commenced on Dawn of the Dead. This sequel-cum-remake took the basic premise of the original, and surpassed it sheerly in terms of scope - four people hiding in a gargantuan shopping mall from an ever-increasing onslaught of zombies.

Dawn of the Dead was released unrated in theatres across the USA in April 1979.

• The new German 'Zombie 1' DVD page is complete with a review of the disc, thanks to Markus Ponath. The pre-production area has also been opened with a brief synopsis of what the stage is. More info is due in this section soon.

• Where do I start? Basically I have been devoting my time to the neglected Memorabilia section, adding more posters, DVD's and Miscellaneous items. Of particular interest is the new German DVD with 40 minutes of interviews with Romero & Savini.
