March Mammals!!

Round 2 has come and gone with some serious pastings, and maybe even a couple of upsets! Now we move onto the Sweet Sixteen, where we separate the contenders from the pretenders and head to the Elite Eight!

Mammals vs. Reptiles!

Polar Bear

vs.
Gorilla

Perhaps the best story of last round was the rematch between the finalists from las year the Polar Bear and the Wolverine. Proving that last year was a fluke, the Polar Bear rumbled by the Wolverine this year with little problem. Add to that his first round thrashing of the Grizzly, and it looks as if the Polar Bear is determined to make this his year. Standing in his way this round is the powerful Gorilla! Spanking the monkey in round one, he proved himself more than a match for the boxing Kangaroo. Now he has to get by the Polar Bear to prove himself to the best Mammal there is! (Well, second best... man wasn't eligible...) Will the Gorilla be able to derail the Polar Bear's train to the finals? Or will the Polar Bear make a monkey out of him?

King Cobra

vs.
Crocodile

The only other Round 2 upset had the King Cobra finding it within himself to take down the massive Komodo Dragon!! Dragon and Anaconda down, but now he's moved on to an entirely different weight class! The Crocodile defeated the Alligator, and the Poison Dart Frog... Animal Expert Matt Terzi's dark horse to take the whole thing! Can the King Cobra pull another upset this round? Or is the Croc ready to represent the cold blooded against the Mammals' finest?

Wild Canids vs. Misc!

Wolf

vs.
Jackal

The Wolf continued his dominance last round defeating the Austrailian Dingo almost as easily as the Fox in round 1. The Jackal (and his bad ass picture) too have had a pretty easy road to the Sixteen, taking down the Hyena and African Wild Dog with little effort. With both begging for a good brawl, we have to expect this to be a classic dogfight. Yes, I mean they're going to climb into planes and shoot it out. That, or the fighting with the biting and the clawing...

Rhino

vs.
Killer Bees

The Rhino may be unstoppable. Flying in the face of what those hacks at the discovery channel had to say, the Rhino took down the Elephant in round one, and survived a direct charge from the Bull in round 2 to boot! His opponent(s) the Killer Bees however have the advantage of numbers on their side. They proved to be a greater collective than the Army Ants, and managed to overwhelm the Scorpion pretty easily... Now the question remains... are the bees killer enough to piece the Rhino's tough hide? Can they possibly take down something so large as the Rhino?? If they manage to pull the upset here folks, don't be surprised to see the Bees in the finals.
