March Mammals!!

Round 2 has come and gone with some serious pastings, and maybe even a couple of upsets! Now we move onto the Sweet Sixteen, where we separate the contenders from the pretenders and head to the Elite Eight!

Sea vs. Sky!

Eagle

vs.
Penguin

Overcoming some stiff competition in round 1 and 2, the Eagle has proven that this is one tough bird! Barely slipping by the Falcon, and then stiff arming the Raven like he was Terrell Owens, he now comes face to face with a real crowd favorite. That's right... it's the Penguin. Riding a wave of Pengu-support, the plucky little fella has upset the much larger Ostrich, and now the Vulture as well. In the final matchup from the Sky segment, a flightless bird tries to continue it's bid to shock the world!

Shark

vs.
Orca

The Shark has made quite an impact so far, taking down the clever Dolphin, and the fearsome Electric Eel! But now this razor toothed killing machine comes face to face with something larger than itself... but is it more vicious? The Orca, or Killer Whale, defeated the giant Sperm Whale in round one, before going on to have a bit of difficulty with the Squid in round 2. Seriously... Orcas eat Squids. That's like me vs. cheeseburger. Is the support for the Orca wavering? In truth, the Orca is less a killer whale and more a giant Dolphin. Can the Shark deal with the Dolphin's much larger cousin the way he dealt with the 'fin in the first round? We shall see!

Dogs vs. Cats!

Pitt Bull

vs.
Rottweiler

The domestic dogs final comes down to the vicious Pitt Bull vs. the powerful Rottweiler! The Pitt Bull's path to the 16 was paved with the giant St. Bernard, and the clever German Shepard. His opponent, the Rottweiler, got here at the expense of the loveable Dachsund, and the huge Mastiff. Now which of these dogs will have the fight in them to advance and face the cats? Will the Pitt Bull's natural fighting ability carry it through the match, or will the larger Rottweiler muscle his way to the next round?

Tiger

vs.
Jaguar

Who wouldn't want a Tiger in their tank? The Tiger has to his credit a victory over the king of the jungle the Lion, as well as a win over the super speedy Cheetah. That's the kind of power I need in my car. On the other side, the Jaguar has had a bit of an easier path beating it's smaller cousin the Cougar, before having a light snack in the form of the Lynx (the largest of the round 2 squashes). Is the Jaguar better rested from his fight last round than the Tiger? That may be his only chance to oull the upset here... but again, this is why we play the matches!
