~ June 2010 ~ . “That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing
of water by the Word; that Jesus might present it to Himself a glorious

“THE BRIDE” – the mere mention of the word
conjures up all sorts of adjectives: pure, chaste, divine, impeccable,
beauty, flawless – just to name a few. On this earth a wedding is one of the
most expensive undertakings we will ever take on. Thousands and thousands of
dollars later and countless hours of research, planning, decisions, rehearsal
we enter into a marriage with a loved one. Yet, when we prepare ourselves to
be the Bride of Christ do we do that? Do we devote as much time and energy to
take the responsibility to prepare ourselves to be His Bride? Or do we show
up… improperly dressed, ill prepared; unrehearsed and expect Him to fill in
the gaps. Would any of us even fathom doing this in our earthly marriages?
Then why is it okay for us to do it in our spiritual one?! |
