Up For A Challenge?

Well here is a collection of a few interesting puzzles that I have come across. Think you know the answer to one of them? Then email me!! I'll put your name on my web page. (so its not a great prize but I don't have anything else to offer!) If you happen to have any puzzles like the ones below. Email me with them please!!!

#1 A man rides into the desert on Sunday. 3 days later he rides back on Sunday. How is this possible?

#2 A man was murdered in his car. He was killed by a gunshot wound to the head. All his doors and windows were locked. There were no signs of powder in the car so he couldn't have been shot from inside the car. There were no bullet holes in any of the windows. And there were no other finger prints on the outside of the car indicating that someone else opened this man's door. So how was he killed?

#3 Four gray trees and a coiling snake. What am I?

#4 Mark walked out into the parking lot and quickly located his black mustang without a problem. He used neither aritificial light nor the moon to locate his car. How did he do it? (there is more than one acceptable answer to this one)

#5
This thing all things devours:
Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;
Gnaws iron, bites steel;
Grinds hard stone to meal;
Slays king, ruins town;
And beats high mountain down.

#6
Voiceless it cries
Wingless flutters
Toothless bites
Mouthless mutters

#7
What has roots as nobody sees,
Is taller than trees,
Up, up it goes,
And yet it never grows?

#8
A box without hinges, key, or lid,
Yet golden treasure inside is hid.

CONGRADULATIONS!!
Elwyn Serrina had the correct answers to both #1 and #4!! The first person to give this thing a shot.

Jenny Rackley had the correct answer to #1!!
