FILM DISCUSSIONS AT CHAPTERS


 7:30 PM Every Friday in November and January, Festival programer Donovan Aikman will screen and chat about past festival favourites.

TRIBUTE - Sunday, February 4 7pm

This year's honoree: Marv Neuland founder of International Rocketship -who brought us such cult classics as Bambi Meets Godzilla. Other special guests will be there to celibate with us.

 THE INFLUENCES Saturday February 10, 2001 9am - 4pm @ CineVic; 9:45pm @ Capitol 6 Theatre

This workshop will focus on the director John Cassavetes and his work; It continues on to investigate the influence of politics, literature and contemporary art of the 1950s

Times have changed since The Flintstones first shocked the world by being the first Prime-time couple actually sharing the same bed. We now have  The Simpsons' Homer and Marg going at it in a public mini-putt, the family dog having the hots for The Family Guy's wife, and Peggy Hill posing for an Internet fetish site on King of the Hill . Come and learn about the workings of animation in this intense and lively session. Held over three days, you will be taken through all the steps to create your own animated masterpiece.

LET'S MAKE A MOVIE-Sunday February 4 at 1pm & Saturday February 10 at 1pm $10.75

Commando filmmaking in action: Participants, armed with video equipment, will merge and collide to script, rehearse, shoot and screen a short video in one afternoon. Screening takes place at Capital 6

After the opening feature kick it up at the Laurel Point Inn with eighteen hot new R&B musicians.

What is under the White Rabbits vest? Why won't the Hatter stop talking and who ever heard of doing the limbo in Wonderland? Join us for a wonky game of croquet at the Royal London Wax Museum. Alice in Wonderland is not, just for kids, anymore!
