Persons having 3 year Bachelor's or Master's in applying professional subject or in related subject, with 3+years post-degree experience, may pass easily. Actually there is no minimum educational requirements in general for Canadian immigration, but, MUST have at least one year experience after successfully completion of Canadian standard minimum education/training required for that applying occupation. Full experience points if have 4+ years experience. Bonus points if, have optional job offer, close relative there, or fluent in English and or French. There are about 1261 open occupations, within the latest General Occupations List of 336 occupations/subgroups, for which anyone can pass if have at least one year relevant experience and score total 70 including interview points. For Canada, at present on the top of the list are: 4-year B.Sc. Engineers of any field, computer (analyst, consultant, hardware-software engineer, manager, asst programmer and specialist) personnel, audiologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists. Other preference: for any subjects under agriculture, architect, business administration, and commerce department/faculty/discipline; or in any of the following specific subjects: biology, biochemistry, chemistry, counseling, economics, English, forestry, French, geochemistry, geography, geology, geophysics, history, journalism, library science, mathematics, meteorology, nutrition, pharmacy, physics, psychology, social welfare, social work, soil science or vet. medicine, etc. total 1261 occupation. List of occupations and individual points are changing frequently, so recheck before submitting your application. Your job title may be different than Canadian system, but to qualify need to check what duties and responsibilities you are doing and whether you have required qualification for that as per Canadian standard. Writing/comparing position descriptions following standards of Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC) or Career Handbook guidance, is the main problem, which I normally check to do immigration assessment. If qualifications and job duties-responsibilities of the applied occupation do not meet Canadian standard, it will score no point at all, resulting sure final refusal, even though otherwise looks getting total points above pass point 70. Before formal application processing, intending applicants should be sure that his/her intended occupation is listed as a open occupation for which his/her personal qualification & experience are acceptable per Canadian standard requirements for that intended occupation. If file without correct assessment, there is always risk of losses. |
