A concert was held at The Marine Hotel in
Aberystywth, for an audience of retired
health workers.
Concert in
Llanrhystud Church: Sunday 8th April

This was our first public concert held in
the church at Llanrhystud, and it raised
money towards the repairs to the church.
The programme included "When the
Stars begin to Fall", "Didn't
It Rain" (appropriate for the
evening!), "Were You There when they
Crucified my Lord", "Ar Hyd y
Nos" (with violin), "The Rising
of the Lark", "Cwsg, Lwli,
Cwsg", "March of the Men of
Harlech", "Panis
Angelicus" and "With a Voice of
Singing".
Many thanks to Gwenan Morgan for playing
the keyboard, and Diana Dixon for her
outstanding contribution on violin.

The programme included the
choir's latest songs:
"The Battle of Jericho",
"Y Fwyalchen", "June is
Bustin' Out All Over", and "An
Eriskay Love Lilt".
Also featuring, a duet and 3 Welsh
soloists, and violinist Diana Dixon (also
playing viola in a Brahms trio).
The people of Llangybi were very
welcoming. It was a very warm evening,
and the refreshments laid on afterwards
were much appreciated.

Concert in Aberaeron:
Thursday 18 October
This was held at Peniel Chapel. The
new songs performed by The Morfa Singers
were "Robin Ddiog" and "In
a Monastery Garden".
Also excellent soloists, including Barry
Powell again with "Old Man
River". He brought the house down,
well bits of the chapel, with his superb,
strong voice.
We were made very welcome, and the
refreshments laid on afterwards were most
appreciated.
Fri. 21 December - 7pm.
Christmas Carols in the Village Green,
Llanrhystyd. Why not come and join in our
festive celebrations, or just listen.

will be a collection for charity.
