County
may go EMT-Intermediate:
After many many months of planning, Greene County hopes to go
EMT-I in the near future. This will greatly improve the service our
residents recieve.
Station Numbers:
A name change may be in the works for departments in Greene
County. A new station and apparatus number system is in the works for
the county. The objective of this system is to meet requirements of the
CAD system and to simplify communications in the county. Greene County
always dispatched by the station name, for example, Castoria Fire
& EMS. One possible name for Castoria would be Station 43. Nothing
has been set in stone, and changes are likely to be made to the plan,
when and if it is put into effect.
