   CWC 2001 FIFA Club World Championship

FIFA World Club Championship is the club tournament for all confederations.

The second of the tournament will be played in Spain during the summer of 2001. This edition will have 12 clubs. Five confederations - AFC, CAF, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, and UEFA - will be represented by two clubs and one confederation - OFC - by one club. A club from the host country will complete the club numbers to 12.

The selection of the clubs are upto the decision of the confederations. This year they decided as follows:

AFC
1999 AFC Super Cup Winner - Yamaha FC Jubilo Iwata (Japan)
2000 AFC Super Cup Winner - al-Hilal SC, Ar-Riyād (Saudi Arabia)

CAF
2000 CAF Champions League Winner - Accra Hearts of Oak SC (Ghana)
2000 CAF Cup Winners Cup Winner - Zamalek SC, Al-Qāhirah (Egypt)

CONCACAF
2000 CONCACAF Champions Cup Winner - Los Angeles Galaxy (USA)
2000 CONCACAF Champions Cup Runner-up - CD Olimpia, Tegucigalpa (Honduras)

CONMEBOL
1999 CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores Winner - SE Palmeiras, São Paulo (Brazil)
2000 CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores Winner - C Atlético Boca Juniors, Buenos Aires (Argentina)

OFC
2001 OFC Champions Cup Winner - Wollongong Wolves FC (Australia)

CONMEBOL
2000 UEFA Champions League Winner - Real Madrid CF (Spain)
