I Knew You When....
Once, not so long ago
we were friends in our hearts.
Sharing in many good times,
sharing in many bad.
We were there for eachother
day or night.
And then one day,
we went out separate ways...
you there....me here....
living our lives,
come by one day at a time.
Now here I am,
wondering what went wrong.
Feeling a pain,
that no one can describe.
Thinking back upon the days,
when we were as close as
two friends should be.
Missing the laughter,
and the tears we once shared,
and know in my heart,
that things will never be the same,
because.....
I knew you when.......

BEAUTY OF NATURE
Standing at the window
I see the darkness
Outside beyond the glass.
Slowly being to lighten
In the Eastern sky,
The first tiny golden rays
Peep sleepily
From beyond
The darkened horizon
And smile.
The golden hues
Of orange and red
Rise slowly at first,
Tentative maybe
Of Today.
Then with a sudden
Amazing speed
The sun bursts forth,
A fireball
Of majestic beauty,
Another day has begun
With this rising sun,
Another morning
Starts anew
This “tomorrow”
As the day begins
To wane at early eve
I stand again in wonder
As the sun’s beauty
Fades into darkness.
But before the dark’
There is beauty
Like no other!
The pastels of light,
The hues of splendor.
I stand amazed
In total awe
Of the colors I see
As slowly the sun sets,
And darkness covers me.
