Dec '13 - Katie announced engagement to Josh Nathan, a fellow American working at Black Forest Academy. Planning to be married in Ohio in July 2014 then returning to Germany for another year.
Jul '13 - Katie spent the summer visiting groups in a number of states gathering support to return to Black Forest Academy. She will serve a second year as the Chairman of the Music department with 12 other staff members.
Jul '12 - Katie earned her Masters in Music Education from VanderCook College at the Chicago Symphony.

Aug '03 - Katie was a clown volunteer, Dot, at the Montgomery County Fair for the Child Evangelism Fellowship.
Aug '03 - Katie led the Legacy Community Band at their final presentation of the summer.
Jul '03 - Katie premiered her conducting and production skills with the Legacy Community Band representing ages from 15 to 50+. Mary is the tenor sax in medium blue peeking over the music stand.
Jun '03 - Mary and Katie prepped to attend Phantom of the Opera at new Schuster Perfomance Center which had been up-architected to handle large productions like Phantom
May '03 - Katie walked with her class during graduation from Cedarville University and both gradmothers attended - in the fall, Katie will student teach in a Dayton suburb and graduate.
Feb '03 - Katie presented her hour long Senior Rectial featuring a harp accompanist.
Jan '03 - Katie was in the Ohio Private Institution Conductors' Associaion Honor Band and performed in Columbus, OH. She is on the first row, three seats from the left end.
