NESS's Review

I LOVE THIS GAME. In case you haven't noticed we are named after the characters in this game......we have just gotten a Paula though. Ok, now I'm sure many of you out there that have heard of this game have said "What a weird weird game!!". And its all true.

This game has broken barriers with its sheer idiocy and lack of any sensibility whatsoever!! (The ad had a scratch and sniff for Master Barf!!!!) In what other game can you find a pair of contact lenses and return them for a pair of dirty old socks? Can you name any other game where you can brush your teeth and have the fresh white glow blind and make the enemy solidify? I sat there laughing as the Retro Age Hippie did so...........until Ness solidified and he couldn't do anything. Luckily "Ness was able to move freely again!" Other parts were.........different, too. I LOVED Magicant. It was cool with the color-changing backround, ground, furniture and so forth. And poor, poor, Flying Man. I think 5 of them died when I first played. ANYWAY, I'll go on to what the game is about.

The game starts out in the small peaceful town of Onett in Eagleland. The year is 199X (nice way of keeping it going for a few years) and ness is sleeping comfortably in his bed like the rest of the town. Suddenly, a meteor whooshes by. There is a loud boom as the meteor crashed into the earth, thus becoming a meteorite. Ness gets out of his bed to see whats the matter. When he gets downstairs he sees his mother staring out the window with a worried look. Ness then decides that he must go and check out the meteorite, not just out of curiousity, but also to calm his mom. On his way out his mother to tell him to "change out his jammies" before he leaves. Ness complies with his mother's wishes and changes. he gets the cracked bat from his sister's room, gets his dog King and sets out on his epic adventure. An adventure that will captivate millions od gameplayers like me.

Now the music was one of my favorite parts of this game. I'll never forget the crazy themes they added to the game of a lifetime. Jackie's Cafe. The song of a severely drunken man. Magicant. The happy, and odd theme. Saturn Valley. Unlike Jeff I like this theme. The.................inventive tune, is actually quite catchy to those who like Moonside and other quite wacky tunes. Now onto the scoring:

Sephiroths's Review

I have to say this is the best game I have ever played. It has a interesting story line with twists and turns, and even some humor (which isn't corny). It has good graphics for SNES, also.

When I got this game and played the first "stage" where you go investigate the crash, I was hooked instantly and played it for 9 hours straight. The game is just so addictive!

I won't give out any secrets to you people that haven't played this masterpiece, I have one thing to say, "Look everywhere for it! I won't let you down, I promise."

Enter the world of Ness, Paula, Jeff, Poo, and ultimate enemy...

Everdred's Review

I think Earthbound is the best game I have ever played for any system. It's one of those games that you can play over and over and over again without getting bored. Without actually playing the game, you may think it is not a good game because of how it looks like pokemon (barely, but most scenes that are on the cover look like pokemon because of the kid walking with a backpack). But most of the gmae is very hard and strategic. Once you play for five minutes you keep wanting to know what weapon you will get next or what move you'll learn. Everyone that I know that has ever played it loves it, so if you haven't played it, I guarantee you'll like it. Especially if you like games like Zelda, Final Fantasy, or hard games that take time. Almost all of the games for Super Nintendo suck in graphic and story line wise, even Final Fantasy 3,4, and 5. One really rare thing in any game is that this game has great music that makes you happy, and its really enjoyable. Earthbound can be extremely hard or mind straining the first time you play it at times, but that is what makes a game good. Such as if you don't know what to do or how to get somewhere, you have to keep fighting enemies over and over and it can get very frustrating. But think about it, most of the games out there are pretty easy or only take about a week to beat. But Earthbound is hard and takes a lot of patience, but while your thinking you're also having fun and even laughing sometimes. So overall, it's just one of the very best and strategic games out there.

Apple Kid's Review

I have been playing Earthbound since I was 7 years old. So I can tell you alot about it. So, like the story starts in Onett, Eagleland. The view goes across town first then cuts to a small house north of Onett. Then you see Ness' room and BOOM!! There is a LOUD crash not far from Ness' house. Ness heads downstairs and his mom tells him to go check it out. He does and comes back to find his mom in front of the house. He sleeps, wakes up (still night) and goes downstairs to find his friend Pokey knoking on the door. They talk, Ness' dog joins the two of them and they again head in the directionn of the loud noise. They arrive and see a meteor. Behind a tree is Picky(Pokey's little brother)(by the way at the meteor sight Ness' dog runs away) they wakw him up and talk then Picky take the dog's place.By the meteor Pokey hears a bee. Then a light flashes on the meteor and out comes Buzz Buzz a bee from ten years in the future. They head for Pokey's house and on the way run into Starman Junior. They fight and always win no matter what. Then in Pokey's house Pokey and Picky get yelled at. Then Ness talks to their dad and their mom joins in. Buzz Buzz lands on Pokey's mom and gets SMASHED. Buzz Buzz says his Final Words and hands Ness the Sound Stone, when Ness heads out the door it day and the real adventure finally begins. Ness heads through many more places like Twoson, Threed, Saturn Valley, Dusty Dune Desert, Fourside, Moonside(my favorite), Deep Darkness and even Lost Underworld.
