Bryn's Mum and Dad, Rick and Valerie, are seated in the middle - Bryn and I with our 2 children are on the left and Bryn's sister Anita is on the right with her husband Steve and their daughters Hayley and Anya (Anya being the youngest)
This is a photo of Julie and I taken in the UK. We have known each other for over 18 years.
She's one of the most thoughtful and lovely people I know and an excellent Mum to her 2 boys. She finds the time to fit in all sorts
of things, like working, running the home, doing courses etc etc. And she still finds the time to write us letters!
This is a photo of Jane and
I taken way back in 1990...I must stress that
we were on our way to a fancy dress party... in aid of Amnesty
International!!!
Jane and I used to
work together in Nottingham, we have known each other
about 15 years...she has a wonderful sense of fun...she also
rides vintage motorbikes and likes leather! *L* Her claim to fame
was to be interviewed on Sri Lankan TV when she went there to
compete in a car race, I think she was the only woman in the race!
This is Jane with her boyfriend Gary
Photos taken when they came here to Dubai on holiday March 2000
This photo of Tom and Jake when they were about 4!
They used to love dressing up, especially as cowboys.
Tim and Lesley
Mike and Julie - good Dubai friends, Bryn and Mike met through work and we have maintained a good friendship with them. They are so lovely and normal to say that
they have been expats for sooo long. They have children that are older than ours so they always give us good advice about getting through it all!! ...and we're always asking their advice!!!
This is Simon, we met through the computer six years ago, I think it
was in the WBS Asia Chat room. He's a first officer with Cathay Pacific, lives in Hong Kong with his wife and 2 daughters, and used to come
on stop-overs through Dubai quite often.
Unfortunately his schedule has been changed and he is now doing the
north America route.
This photo was taken when he was still single and he came to Jake and Maya's International Day at school.
Another two friends whom I met on the Internet - we met (like Simon) in the WBS Asia Chat room and when we went to Singapore on our way to Australia we met up with them!
We 'met' Nancy and Arthur when they visited our homepage (they had been to the Scotsman's page) and they e-mailed us - we started corresponding, for months and months and then finally we met
when they came through Dubai on a cruise
It was like meeting old friends and they are so thoroughly nice that we wish they lived next door - and not in Florida!
