Greg Lawrence is currently working on a new Comedy Network Series called "The Endless Grind," which has just wrapped filming.

From the brilliant mind of Ottawa's Greg Lawrence (KEVIN SPENCER, BUTCH PATTERSON : PRIVATE DICK) comes an all-new series for The Comedy Network. THE ENDLESS GRIND is a 13-episode comic anthology series about the human struggle to come to terms with the grander issues of life on an individual basis (and the eternal quest to get a halfway-decent cup of Joe). In each episode, two vignettes examine a central theme such as love, sex, death, family or fame, etc. Although each vignette is distinct and every episode has a completely original cast (including, among others, Sheila McCarthy and Jayne Eastwood), all events and characters are linked via The Endless Grind Coffee Shop. The comedic focus runs the gamut from black humour to Felliniesque absurdity, slapstick, light romance (with a dark twist), French farce, satire and self-deprecating meditations. There will, however, be no mime.

"The Endless Grind" launches October 24, 2001, on The Comedy Network.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 8

9:00 p.m. BUTCH PATTERSON: PRIVATE DICK Season Premiere!

Now entering its third season, Greg Lawrence's comedy noir detective series BUTCH PATTERSON: PRIVATE DICK has become a cult favourite among Comedy Network viewers. In the season premiere, after Blanche springs Butch from jail, the two get drunk at a cheap motel bar and end up in bed together.

Okay, so finally I got enough drunken time in front of the computer (thanks Chuck Cocker!) to get my excursion to Butch filming in Ottawa online... looking at it now, I probably should have taken a few more pictures, but at the time I didn't want to intrude! You know how it is. Anyway, Please proceed to the Trip.

I have added more episode synopses for Season Two which is currently airing somewhere on a channel I don't get!

I have also put up the Promotional Material I've recieved over the past two years from The Comedy Network.

Starting this week, Ocnus Productions will be shooting Season Three of Butch Patterson. Keep an eye out if you're in or around Ottawa, to see if you can catch a glimpse of a full-grown man with his pants around his ankles. Cheers, Greg!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Episode two shows tonight (Saturday, February 19) on The Comedy Network at 11:00 pm. Three new pictures from Greg are up on Production Pictures Four, although I haven't had time to crop them yet.

Much more, in fact. Season two of Butch Patterson: Private Dick premieres on The Comedy Network February 12 at 11:00 pm. New characters, new plotlines and new femmes fatales for Butch to fall head over heels for. Oh, and lots of trout. Don't ask me why. (I think it has something to do with the fish.)

Friday, October 29, 1999, Greg was on Open Mike with Mike Bullard. Can you believe that he double-billed with an 800-pound pumpkin???
Well, I think that Mike Bullard is a big dork, and he's not really that funny. (It's the closest we get to a talk show, though, so I shouldn't complain) BUT Greg's appearance was reeeeeeal sexy. Sexy like a monkey. I am trying to get my computer to talk to my vcr, so I might just get sound clips. But don't expect anything.

 Maybe *next* time Greg's on Mike Bullard... or whenever he's in Toronto again, he should give me warning so I can actually go and see him. Oh well, like TV ain't enough, baby!

In mid-October, the show finished shooting. Are we ready to see new episodes yet? Come on, are we? OF COURSE WE ARE!
Currently I am pursuing getting pictures from Ocnus, so eventually there will be more work done on this site. Keep checking back!
